Title: Console key mapping
Post by: Scoobie on July 04, 2004, 02:09:13 am
Does anyone know how I can match the buttons used in console games for Gens, Snes, Nes, Daphne & N64 with those used in Mame?  There is a program that does this automatically for Atari 2600, but I don't see anything similar for the other emus.

Thanks in advance for the help!

All of the other emulators let you remap your keys.  Simply run the emulator executable w/o using a frontend and then use the menus to change your key mappings.  For example, for SNES using zSnes, run "zsnesw.exe"  Then select Config from the menu and input 1 to change player one's controls.  Input 2 for p2 ect...

The reason z26 is a special case is because it does not allow keys to be remapped.
