Title: WG 1972. How do I get the.....(Ken Layton help)
Post by: Thenasty on June 22, 2004, 12:50:43 pm
I wen ahead and got the WG 1972 (7200) CGA Monitor.
I gave up on the 19" Neotec Multi-Sysnc cause they wanted $320.00 for the monitor (which is ok to me) but the shipping is $190.00 which made me decide not to order it. So I went to Betson (drove there) and got me the WG 1972 (7200). Now I just to make sure about the setting for Advmame/Advmenu. TIA

how can i get this specs for Advmame ?

Thanks Ken. I found out the pclock value when I run the Advcfg program. It is listed on the list of Arcade Monitors.

pclock=5-80
hclock=15.75
vclock=47-63

As this moment, I still don't get a steady pic like I did with my old Wg49xxx series. I am still trying but at this point, I think I am gonna get the ArcadeVga. I don't know why I can't get it going. I have no problem with the older monitor (until I gave it a CAP KIT job). Is there a possiblity that I blew up the Flyback Transformer when i did the CAP KIT ? Anyway, those monitor are long gone and I am in this new WG7200. I am just wondering why I can't get it going while I got it going quickly with my old Monitors before (3 years ago).

Did you know that this monitor has both 15.75 and a 17khz switch ?
It did not mention this in any flyers/advertisement I've seen.
Even in mikearcade manual don't mention it.

17 khz?????? I've never heard of any gameboard needing that frequency. 15.750 khz has been the standard horizontal frequency in television sets since 1940 and in arcade monitors since the begining of video games.
