Title: Update...Help with Emulaxian/Fe-3darcade 0.66
Post by: MrArcade on August 06, 2002, 08:56:49 am
I am almost there now!  I have Daphne working...and the movies are playing in the fps theater. (I got rid of realone and went to realplayer8).  Now the movies still won't play in cylarcade mode...any idea why?

I finally figured out that videos are to be treated like individual game roms...not a list like movies.  I went as far as uninstalling wmp7 to get back to wmp6.4, but the command line switch for full screen still does not work.  I even tried opening the video from a dos box myself....it errors if any /xxx is added.  Do I have to grab a different version of wmplayer?  I set hidewin to false so the wmplayer box comes up and I can full screen it if I like.

I am haveing trouble with the move cabinets mode with pinball machines.  It always adds the arcade cabs from the default file in...and often I get a script error when trying to exit the mode to save the file.

I also added some qtime videos to the wall...and took snaps of the clips to use as screenshots.  It is very cool.  I will up a few pics later today.  Her are a fw of the pins

>That sounds weird to me...they do play in fpsarcade on the video wall and not in the cylarcade on the videowall? I will test this as soon as I can...still recovering from a hd crash and switching to xp after that  ;)

>exactly..."movies" and mp3's are special cases because they have to be selected on a model...launching mpeg etc with mediaplayer works just the same as launching mame games with mame.

>no you first install WMP 7.x then install WMP 6.x over it without uninstalling WMP 7.x, see Stephen's tutorial.

>I think I don't understand what you are doing here...you start moving a pin cab and it changes to another one? Or do you want to make a certain cab a pinball one?

Yes, I did make the playfields and many of the backglasses myself.  I really like the effect.

I tried installing 6.4 over 7...I will try it again now that I have it working a bit.

The big aggravation now is the script error when trying to turn off move cabinets mode.  It keeps putting the pinball machines on each other and on poles.

>mmm I think here must be something else be the problem in the config setup that causes this as an effect...email me...this will get  to detailed for the forum I guess...

ok here is a testbuild that will let you select and play movies and mp3 also in the cylarcade and paging variant of the game selection menus.
It also solves the getting a script error while leaving movecabs mode when a gamelist is smaller then the max number of cabs allowed for the arcade associated with that gamelist...
Thanks to mr arcade for finding these issues  ;D
