Title: Monitor problem
Post by: unicron on March 30, 2004, 07:34:04 pm
Hi, I have a problem with my 27 inch monitor on my super neo 29 (not sure what brand, can find out). The color red is warped in a spot on the right side. Degaussing does not fix. On the neckboard I have R-BKG B- BKG G-BKG R-DRIVE and B-DRIVE Would any of these possibly fix it? what does BKG stand for? tia, unicron

Can you show a picture?  Almost sounds like a speaker is too close to the tube.

hi,
I'm pretty sure it's not anything next to it, as turning everything next to it off and degaussing does nothing.

Bump, anyone have any ideas? come across this problem before? seems like a color purity issue any tips or attempts at help would be much appreciated.

Move the game away from the wall and away from any home stereo speakers or any magnetic source first then see how it looks. Are your game cabinet speakers too close to the monitor? The magnets do affect the picture.

adjusting R-DRIVE and R-BKG on the neckboard did the trick, after doing that and degaussing the offending spot is finally gone. Thanks for the reply's guys.

Thx I think it's a sweet arcade too. It cost about 600 to get it to my door, it was like 415 + shipping. Got it on an ebay auction by arcade-infinity
