Title: Localarcade.com Galaga CPO font?
Post by: glitch77 on March 28, 2004, 11:37:40 am
WHen I load up Illustrator, it says:

Code: [Select]
AvantGardelTCbyBT-book:
Default font subtituted for missing font.

Where can I get the Galaga CPO font?

Thanks!

I'm not sure, but I'll make sure that the font on the image online is converted to curves so that this isn't a problem.

done. Try downloading again. If you get that message this time, just ignore it, I converted all the fonts to outlines.

That's weird. You are talking about the Galaga CPO that I did (for the upright cab)? I'm pretty sure I converted all fonts to outlines already. I drew that in CorelDRAW and since Illustrator was unable to work with the CorelDRAW text layout it had to be converted to outlines. As far as I know I didn't even use that font.

If objects actually used that font then I guess they now don't look as they should have.

My PC with Illustrator on it had a harddisk crash, but when I get it up and running again I'll check if any text was in that font (and in need of correction).

I got a weird message when I opened the file about fonts, but it wasn't the typical message "you are missing xxx" It acted like the file had embedded fonts & said something about pdf... Whatever happened, the fonts converted & looked correct when I turned everything to outlines.
