Title: just finished stand alone cp
Post by: crsdawg on March 25, 2004, 06:59:33 pm
just finished this stand alone panel earlier today and thought i'd post some pics.

i built this for a local guy(and byoc'r) who wanted a dual 4 way setup. for joys he used a happs universal and pac/galaga 4way. his button placement is based off neo geo/and mouse trap, with an extra button in line with the joys for one button games. he used different colored buttons than pictured, i just put these in to populate the panel.
the size and shape of the cp is based off of a hotrod. he already has one and has a stand built for its dimensions. the new cp fits in it as well.

the pic doesn't show it, but the panel really shines. the color is also a solid blue, the pic shows some blotcheness that's not present.

here's a couple shots of how i mounted the 4 way. i wanted to keep any bolt heads from showing so i fabbed a mounting plate and recessed it into the mdf to keep it flush with the top panel. it worked and is solid as a rock.

he used an ipac, w/ the ultimarc wiring kit. made for a a very smooth install from what i understand(i just did the wood work). i've used them in the past, very good encoder which is a snap to install(keywiz is also a good choice).
