Title: How do I Angle an Image??
Post by: GGKoul on March 18, 2004, 11:32:24 am
Hello

I'm trying to get this empty Tron Marquee (Image #1) to fit my control panel which has angled lowered corners.  (Image #2)

My question is, how do I modify the Tron image so the lines of the image follows the angle of my control panel? Is there a way I can drag the corners of the Tron imaged to fit my control panel measurments??  If so how??

Thanks

Let me phrase the question this way.

How do I squeeze the Tron image in to a custom shape?

You could add perspective or something. In Photoshop I selected the bottom half and added some perspective to make the bottom angle inward.  But it will probably look weird. Something like this:

I did it with Photoshop. Select the bottom part (where the angled sides are) and add perspective (Menu Edit -> Tranform -> Perspective) I guess you could use another program as well.

Oh and then I filled the bit that came up empty with black, but I guess I should have set the background to black before I added the perspective.

He he yes, well I warned that it looked weird.   ;D

I don't understand what you mean by WRAP though. You could use a mesh deform (Photoshop or Paintshop has that) or maybe a raytracer?

Can you give a sketch of what you want it to look?
