There a setting to adjust mamewah's screen saver images over all size?

It's working and syncing proper but appears like it is zoomed in X3 and wondering of there is a setting adjustment for the size of the image being displayed.

I <3 MameWAH.

I mentioned earlier why I'd left MameWAH for a more modern FE - at least one that has been maintained in the past dozen years or so. It was designed for XP. in post win7 environments, there are too many things that don't work and other issues to deal with. I persisted with it longer than most, and that is enough time spent on Mamewah for me. Search this forum for posts over the years and, with a lot of effort and headache, you'll maybe find your solutions.

However, if you find a mostly pain-free way to use MameWAH, please share with us.

Here are four possibly easier solutions: Attract-Mode; Hyperspin; Launchbox; FEEL.

I chose Attract-Mode. It is incredibly easy to setup emulators like MAME with the default layouts/"displays". It is also very open-source and potentially very powerful. If you have some modest skills in object-oriented programming (like with C++ or Python for example), you can do some great things with it.

EDIT: If you still want to persist with MameWAH, you might resize your images. I recall doing this and re-encoding video snaps too. It is fussy and can only handle certain formats.

I got everything working aside the screen saver image at this point.

I love mamewah and what I know and have been using for probably two decade's and tried other stuff but didn't like it or could not figure it out proper.

So far the few that were out of sync I just went i to the game's .ini within the mame folder itself and manually changed the game's display to 640x480 and they all look great.

I can't tell any difference from the 640x480 compared to the proper native for each so it's good enough for me.

Aside my screen saver issue I think I am all set now though you and calamity helped me big time and appreciate it.

My rig boots right into mamewah when powered on and off I go.

That's all groovy, whatever works for you. I think screensaver issues may have been the last straw for me.

FWIW, you can try out another FE without disturbing your Mamewah setup - with Attract-Mode you just tell it where your roms and artwork are, and away you go. I think Hyperspin and Launchbox are similar. FEEL is described by some users as being "like Mamewah".

AM is supposedly meant to be able to import Mamewah layouts, but I didn't find that process straightforward. Nevermind, there is an online designer tool, and the default layouts work fine to get you started. Small amount of effort at first, but happy now I don't need to keep MW limping along with "chewing gum and string" fixes.
