so i have had groovy mame 0.246 and crt emudriver working great on my d9800. decided to get a bigger drive and update to the newest 0.271 and get the updated romset. everything seemed ok but when i went to run area 51 and maximun force they run terrible and choppy . if i run the combo game area51/maximum force that is perfect. i can go back to my 0.246 and its perfect. so did something change in mame or groovy mame from 0.246 at some pint and i need to change something? i tried a simple new mame.ini with just basic settings and same thing. thanks for any ideas

so after checking all versions between 249 and newest it looks like 0.256 is the last that area 51 and maximum force plays fine can anyone verify this? maybe its a mame issue
-
Emulation changes - slowdowns. Barely works at 100% on my PC.
-
thanks for verifying that. sucks cause that one of the games that gets played a lot on my mame cabinet . it has to be a bug because the clone versions work fine. thanks
-
Works on 0.271 but seems like it's asking more from the CPU than it did in the past

Thanks, Robbbert.
Tried to PM you on a related topic, but it was blocked.
- Do you mind adding me to your buddy list?
Thanks in advance for your consideration.

One wonders how you were able to email me then. Do you have rights to see member's email addresses?
I couldn't find my buddies list, so I have no idea who might be on it. But I've added you, just to see what you want to talk about.

Yes, Moderators do have access to that information, but that's not how I contacted you since your forum settings do not allow BYOAC members permission to email you.

Thanks. PM sent.
For anyone wanting to know how to use buddy list:
- If you click on a user's avatar, it will open their profile.
- "Add to buddy list" is on the profile page right under that user's avatar.
- After you've added someone to your buddy list, you can view/edit the list on your profile page under Modify Profile -- Buddies/Ignore List.

Thanks for the buddies information, it worked.
BTW, I didn't log the Mametesters bug for peterson65 - he created his own account and did it himself. As should anyone else wanting to report problems with mainline MAME.
I'll consider your PM in a few days, but I don't normally log cases on behalf of others.

Point well taken. Sorry for my misunderstanding. Account created.

Once the administrator (I'm not one) approves your account, you'll be able to create new cases and update the one above, and any others that are open.
