Hi all,
Basically I'm a bit overwhelmed and have some questions regarding all the new methods when converting a Model2/3 Cab to mame.
There's the M2PAC that's basically just a wiring guide on how to connect an arduino to the drive board.

Then there's the PWM2M2 and the L2M2 Board:

Then there's the new MEGA Adapters who make everything much easier:
https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/mega-adapters-plug-and-play-pc-in-sega-racing-cabinets.27891/
Then there's the software, BackforceFeeder:
https://github.com/njz3/vJoyIOFeederWithFFB/tree/master/BackForceFeederGUI
I have decided to go with the M2PAC Guide and got all the stuff needed for that.
Do I really need a PWM2M2 board or the MEGA Adapter in order to play other games than Supermodel emulator games? The BackforceFeeder Github page makes it seem like I don't...
Also if i wanna switch between the "M2PAC" Microcode and the "BFF" mode do I relly need to reflash my arduino every time before starting the game? Am I seeing this correct or is there another solution?
Regards,
shanki

Quick Update..
I've had my questions answered on the arcade-projects forum..
Check the Mega Adapter thread I linked for anyone that's looking

Nice PCB. Njz3's software is the most complete and easy to use (it has a GUI). How much are they asking for one of those MEGAboards?

I think it was along the lines of 95 Euro preassembled... it's a good bit cheaper when you buy it as a kit

I can't deny those look interesting, i must pass one on to a friend who's got some cabs waiting on restoration.
