Title: Assistance with new position guns

Hi all - I recently decided to expand my light gun pedestal cabinet to include positional guns. Everything works great so far.  My question is around the recoil affect   I ordered them knowing that it only worked for aliens and farcry, but then i stumbled upon this youtube video of a guy who shows he got it working in other mame games like T2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQsUpWJZOB0&t=63s

he fails to give any details on how he got it working however...I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on how he could have done this? I'm thinking maybe mame hooker but not sure how that would have worked with these guns..
