Title: Another odd MAMEWAH Error!
Post by: Magnet_Eye on February 27, 2004, 05:06:25 am
Ok, once I had a random error in MAMEWAH, and I reinstalled and it was fine. Now, every time I exit a game I get "Runtime Error 62 - End of File" or something to that effect. I have NOT changed a single thing on my PC. This error just appeared out of nowhere....as did my old post about an error. So, is this gonna keep happening? Am I gonna have to keep reinstalling MAMEWAH every few weeks due to new unexpected errors? WTH!?

Someone please explain...if you can.  ???

Delete all the .FAV files from the \mamewah\files folder - this is a bug which I haven't managed to find yet, it only seems to affect some users (not me)...

FYI *never* uninstall & reinstall MAMEWAH when you get a problem like this - it is *always* something to do with the stuff in the \files folder - most of these problems I (& many regular users here) am aware of so know the solution :)

I personally would have thought that this was a good excuse to buy a new computer.
If the programs you like don't run well on your current computer, you must NEED a new one, right?
I probably would have thrown in a BIGGER monitor, a couple trackballs, all new joysticks and maybe some new cabinet art--just to be SURE that none of them were the culprit in this as well.
