Title: My MAME machines on TV
Post by: tbombaci on February 18, 2004, 10:26:50 pm
Follwing a tip a few weeks ago, I followed up on a request for an interview regarding MAME and building cabinets for Gamer Nation.

Normally, the reporters find the nerdiest, dorkiest people around to represent a hobby. Rest assured, I am a normal, for the most part, well rounded person. Neither a pure poindexter nor a total dufuss. Somewhere right in the middle.

I am hoping we can work the time so my son will be filmed playing his mini Pacman too.

I will post more details as I get them.

Better start cleaning the office! :)

Hey Used Electronics, good to see I am not the only fan of Cyberball.

Unfortunately my pIII 550 I currently have in my mame box is not strong enough to push the latest version of Mame and Cyberball.

Hoping to replace it with a p4 next weekend.  My home machine a p4 2.4 has no problems pushing it.

Heck my TMV is like 265 or something like that.  But I would love to have a full 4 player version so I can play against the humans.

Is there any worry about showing arcade machines playing games using Mame Roms on television?

I believe there has already been specials MAME-ing a cab on both the Discovery channel as well as Tech TV and now there's a book...

doubtful that any negative effects will result.
