Title: Act Labs Light Gun - Linux
Post by: SteelRush on April 25, 2020, 09:04:56 pm
Does anyone know if the Act Labs guns work on Linux, or what it takes to get them working on Linux?  Linux is seeing the device and registers a mouse:

Code: [Select]
[    4.391611] input: ACT LABS ACT LABS PC USB Light Gun as /devices/pci0000:00/                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             0000:00:1d.0/usb3/3-1/3-1.3/3-1.3:1.0/0003:061C:A700.0002/input/input4
[    4.391660] hid-generic 0003:061C:A700.0002: input,hidraw1: USB HID v1.10 Poi                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             nter [ACT LABS ACT LABS PC USB Light Gun] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1.3/input0

But even after using the switch calibration, it never aims anywhere.  Any thoughts or are these things only working in Windows?

On GitHub i find this "https://github.com/mamedev/mame/commit/526e2cb3b10557ed610fcb8cda440e473dbd98f9" for the AimTrack
I tried with Act-Labs idvendor and idproduct but i don't know if i write files correctly
I was unable to make it work
 I'm a beginner :banghead:
