Title: Vending Machine Blues
Post by: SCking on April 17, 2019, 11:19:20 am

The company I work for is more of an amusement  operator, (pool tables, jukebox, arcades)  but we have 2-3 vendors on route. Leads to my problem...

I have a Crane-National Vendor model “147”.   115 volt, 60 hertz, single phase, amps 3. With a mars electronic coin changer model TRC-6000. 115 VDC. And a mars bill acceptor model AE 2651 U5.  115 VAC.

My problem is that I’m putting chips, gum, cigs, lighters, just a bunch different stuff at different prices. Now if I insert only 1$ bills I can insert up to 15 of them (highest priced item) no problem. But if at any point, I put a 5$ Bill (or larger) the bill acceptor stops accepting money, and is waiting to vend something before stacking the bill. How can I make this thing accept say, two 1$ bills then one 5$ bill, then one more1$ (8$= price for a pack of cigs) ??????   I’ve been flipping dip switches and attempting to change machine/bill acceptor configuration for 2 days now. It’s driving me mad!!!  I don’t have a owners manual, found one on line the reads like Latin to me.  Any and all help is very appreciated!!!  Thank you in advance

The Mars TRC6000 changer is old. I believe it was replaced by a newer model which does more modern pricing.

This site has a manual:

Wachtor Electronics is a Mars tech support/service center. Suggest talking to someone there for advise with your particular setup.

Hey Ken, thanks for your input. I don’t have any spare or more up to date changers.... but I’ll check that site out and see if I can figure something out.  Thanks!!
