Hi all,
I'd like your feedback on my first draft of artwork for my upcoming MAME bartop build. I've decided to call it "ROM Runner," both as a nod to Blade Runner and a pun since it will literally run ROMs. ::)
The visual theme takes heavy inspiration from modern interpretations of retro sci-fi, with the Tron-like grid and purple/blue color scheme.
Aside from the art itself, I'd also appreciate a functionality check on the labels for each player's admin buttons. "Credit" and "Start" are a given, and I think "Pause" makes sense, but I'm not sure about "Exit." It might be better to keep that set to a key combination that's not as easy to accidentally press. The control panel will definitely have four admin buttons, so I need to come up with something for the fourth button label.
Thanks!

Here's a mockup of the artwork on the cabinet itself.

I like the art design bit I dont think you will use 8 buttons. Even if you are emulating snes is use coin and start for start and select.

Thanks Thomas. I think I'm going to stick with the four buttons, because it's nice to have the ability to have credit, start, pause, and exit for each player, and more functionality like volume control with shifted buttons.

Great job :applaud:
Have anyone ever made a Head to Head bar top?? Having a bar top with both player on the same side rubbing elbow are not good at all :dizzy:

Thanks! It's the Ultimate Widescreen bartop from Haruman's Customs (https://www.harumancustoms.com/products/bartop-kits/ultimate-widescreen), so I think it's designed to be playable head-to-head. This video from his Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/HarumansCustoms/videos/678543755515385/) shows two people playing SFIV comfortably, so I'm optimistic!
