I don't think anyone wants to stand at an arcade machine to use sketchup, but the cab shape and some of the design elements are actually pretty good IMO.
The relief cut out on the side of the CP and marquee area, as well as the external bolts would actually look pretty good on a shmup themed cab.
It was cut out on a shop-bot, so maybe they made another with arcade controls to play games on. :)

That's uh... somethin ;D
Seriously though, that's a pretty kickass demo machine.
Personally, now I kinda want fog generators hooked into Galaga explosions. Damn them.

That's pretty cool. Wish my cabinet had a bunch of buttons that made funny noises and shot smoke.

Hey guys, I designed and built the entire thing myself! :)
I actually just signed up for an account on here to share that cabinet! You'll see that post pop up soon.
Regardless, I wanted to share the design and how much fun I had building it.
I plan on documenting the build and sharing the cut files if anyone is interested. Also, if anyone has any questions about how I built the thing, I'll be happy to answer any questions.
Now I know most of you probably don't think "playing" SketchUp on an arcade machine is that fun, and to that end I embedded a secret game mode in it that is activated by solving a riddle that's in the back of the cabinet:

There are USB ports under the console where you can plug in generic N64 controllers to play the games. I also designed the console where the keyboard and mouse are to be removable with four bolts that are on top. The idea is that if I ever made another non SketchUp version of this cabinet one could swap control decks from one to another depending on what game they were in the mood for.

Thanks so much!
When I posted that I didn't realize someone had already posted about my cabinet here... Should my post be removed so as not to have duplicates?

No worries about duplicates -- there are bound to be a few when there are 1,582,822 posts in 140,493 topics. :lol
Looking forward to reading more about your cab. ;D
