Title: TMNT iCade
Post by: mike5im5 on March 09, 2017, 11:36:36 am
About time I posted a few updates to my projects.

This was my original iCade project (which got me hooked). Since the initial setup I've made some modifications that I'm really happy with (power switch, marquee lights).

Features:
- Original Raspberry pi 1
- Dual PSU which feeds both 5V and 12V
- iPAD2 LCD screen + hdmi/vga/composite controller board
- USB speakers + volume potentiometer
- xin-mo game controller encoder
- Plexiglass screen bezel, back and marquee
- 5v LED strip
- Illuminated 12v Mains switch (back)
- Graceful shutdown switch + Powerblock shutdown circuit
- Artwork and Marquee printed on vinyl using my inkjet printer (can't remember where I found the side art so don't know who to credit. Will modify once I find out)

Emulation:
- Mame roms (about 1000)
- Megadrive
- SNES

What I love most:
Track and Field, Galaga, watching my son play it!

What my wife loves most:
Frogger and Bubble Bobble

What my 2 year old son loves most:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Turtles in Time and Super Hang-On

Possible Future Mods:
- Upgrade Raspberry Pi 3 (not really needed at the moment given what it's used for)
- Modify an original Konami Turtles LCD game to be used as a separate plug in second controller.
