I downloaded the demo of this frontend available at mameroom.net as the virtualjukebox program also offered there is a great program. I tried ultimate applauncher which says it can launch any program or emulator and it comes with all the possible artwork (cool 3d console models). The selection of systems gui is very nice IMHO, with the wheel of consoles going around and the 3d models of the consoles--very clean looking. The list of roms appears in the left side and can be selected. For some emulators, this process works perfectly. But for some others, in particular, Gens and ZSNES, the first couple of times you try to launch the rom, it will not allow it. But if you leave that console and come back again, it will launch just fine. Appears to be some bug or something, unless I am doing something wrong, but it will eventually launch perfectly if you keep trying without changing any parameters. It is not heavy on options, but a cool little interface. Anyone taken any time to look at it. It would be tempting to try and setup (aside from the $19.95 fee) as again, I like the 3d console/wheel interface--aside from the fact that some consoles/roms dont load right away. Curious if anyone else had that problem or being able to use a similar interface in other FEs.
