Hi All,
I've not set up a pc based emu system before, I've watched loads of videos on you tube and I believe I'm getting my head around it all, but I still need some guidance/confirmation that I understand the process correctly.
I have no programming skills what so ever, I just want to play Mame, Snes, Nes, Mega drive & dreamcast roms with a nice FE. I have downloaded retroacrh, mame 0.178 (with full rom set for 0.178) + bios files, launch box and roms for the above list. I understand that I may need CHD files for some of the mame roms but will see which games I will play and if required DL the relevant CHD's.
I think that retroarch can/will run the console stuff and mame for the arcade stuff.
does any of this make sense/sound right please? :)
also which order is best to installed them please?
Thanks Jeff

Sounds about right, but emus are a personal thing and everyone uses different ones.
Personally I install the emu's and roms first (in any order) and get them set up and working properly standalone.
Then install and set up your front end.

cool cheers, I was under the impression that retroacrh has the emu built in which was why I was leaning to it. is there any emu's for the consoles that are better than others you could recommend please?
