Hello,
I have a g07 monitor that is making noise. I replaced the T503 transformer and it seems more quiet now and not very high pitched, but I would like to make it more quiet if possible. I think I am hearing yoke chatter now.
I unplugged the yoke cable on the chassis and it sounds very quiet. Is that a valid test to determine if the yoke is the noise culprit? The flyback has been replaced and makes very little noise when I listen to it while the yoke is unplugged. I'd love if I could make it sound the way it does with the yoke unplugged.
If it is the yoke, does anyone have any tips for making it quiet? I read somewhere that the inner coils make the most audible noise.
Thanks for the help,
Zach

it could be t503 or l502,whilst running the chassis touch each of those components with a non metalic tool to see if the frequency whistle is affected
deflection yokes tend to buzz rather than whistle but any coil can cause this sort of issue
