Im talking original XBOX, not XBONE or XBOX360 :)
Doesnt have to be XBOX exclusive, doesnt have the be the best version of a multiconsole game, none of those restrictions. Just list games you think are fun to play. The purpose of this is quite selfish, I wanna find some new games to play I may have missed!
No need to mention Halo though.
For me, in no particular order:

Gauntlet Dark Legacy is alright and you can carefully map it out with a Kade and make it playable with a stick and six buttons. That and Top Spin Tennis are probably the only actual non-emulated games I play anymore on that system. Sadly no Virtua Tennis. Burnout 3 on a really dull day but my love affair with Striker ended many years ago.
Back when I worked from home the Baldur's Gate action RPGs and Mercenaries were a lot of fun. Can't comment on how well they've aged.

no Kades or other garbage like that, Im using official non Duke MS controllers. I'll give G:DL a whirl (I heard terrible things about its sequel, Seven Sorrows) and I still have the original Mercenaries , I played the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- out of M2 and it had one of the greatest songs ever tied to it. Oh no you didnt! I dont think I tried a single baulder's gate games since one of the OLD PC games.

I'm kind of curious if any of the Blitz games on Xbox can be played with just ABXY Black/White. I've tried Blitz League and some other one... 2k3? But there's an older version I can't find online so haven't tested yet.

Vexx is a very underrated 3d platformer in the vein of Mario 64. Conker is great too

Dark Legacy is just a arcade port, a pretty good one, but I just don't like the game that much. I took it back to 2nd and Charles.
Top Spin is really great :cheers:
Burnout 3 is a classic
bought BG2 and Mercs on eBay, we'll see how they hold up.

Crimson Skies (probably my fav original xbox game - this never saw a sequel which must mean it sold badly, because it looks fantastic today and is a superb game)

Psychonauts (disclaimer - I am stupid as I haven't come close to finishing this brilliant funny game)
Panzer Dragoon: Orta - maybe best graphics of its generation? Fun on-rail type 3d shooter

NHL Hitz 2003 (soso single player but fantastic multiplayer)

NFL 2K3 (I think that's the year? Still the best NFL game IMHO - edit: I think it is NFL2K5)
Star Wars KOTOR - but you'll need to invest a lot of time on that one! Buggy in parts but absolutely brilliant and no, I haven't finished that one either! :angry:
Quantum Redshift (wipeout type racer, well I liked it...)

I think a game like Forza is pretty awesome but because the series is still ongoing and especially because it's grown so much aesthetically, I personally don't have any desire in revisiting the first game in the series. Actually I feel like that for most (but not all) 3d racers. For some reason, I don't feel that way with Burnout (though I do like Burnout Paradise on the 360, Burnout 3 is still awesome in its own right) and Outrun 2 ... Weird huh?

Yeah, careful on KOTOR. The characters have level caps and I wasted my upgrades not knowing that. I also had the Galaxy droid bug but it didn't ruin anything. I had to use a trainer to beat the final boss. Seems like "force push" was the ability you needed most.
Actually bought the Xbox at $150 just to play that game....

I have no idea how you arrived at that point, please re-read my entire sentence in context.
I prefer to play XBOX with the 1st party smaller controller, nothing else, not even official M$ Duke controllers.

I get it, you like official controllers, not anything adapted. In that discussion, have you tried they wireless logitech's? They are my goto xbox controller now.

Fusion Frenzy is probably my favorite game on the OG Xbox. I play it with my wife and kids and we have a blast.

Well my family recently acquired an Xbox one
So I was thinking of getting some games for myself.
Currently we have:
GTA V (SO GOOD)
Assassins Creed Unity
Lego Marvel Avengers (don't ask why)
Battlefield 4

The Prince of Persia games are fantastic.... I really wish Ubi would set Assassin's Creed aside for a while and make a new POP.
Crimson Skies is a forgotten classic... the game is fantastic and should have been made into a series but nothing happened.
I really like the Buffy games. People might pass them over because tv tie-in's are typically horrible, but these came out after the show was pretty much over and they are decent beat em ups.

It's a driving game with a very arcade-like feel. Blowing up stuff when you crash is great too. Satisfying.

Been going through the sands of time, you can totally tell this was the foundation of which Assassins Creed was built. Im going to try and finish it, but its a ton of trial and error. I would actually like it if Ubisoft brought the franchise back, they've sort of ran Creed into the ground.
Havent tried the buffy games, cant find them at a price Im willing to gamble on; might just download them. I didnt watch any of the TV show, and all I remember is that Paul Rheubens (spelling?) never actually died in the movie.

Well not exactly. The tv series is based on Whedon's movie script, not the final film, so the only significant change is that in the tv series she burnt the gym down and had to move from LA to Sunnydale due to expulsion. There she gets a brand new watcher, some sidekicks, and another bad guy (and eventually good guy) that ALSO happened to be nick-named Spike. They have no relation to each other and the show even made it a point to mention the other spike to differentiate the two.
Tv Spike is way cooler than PeeWee Spike is the point I'm trying to get to.
The show is worth watching, if you keep in mind that it's very much like Star Trek TNG... the first few seasons are just terrible and barely watchable.

Another vote for Crimson Skies. Still looks great.
I'm going to say Steel Battalion as well. You probably won't get it because of the controller, although I think I recall PBJ had one going cheap :duckhunt
