Title: Best discount video game sites?
Post by: hypernova on March 18, 2015, 05:41:39 pm
I'm trying to rack up another 20 points for my Nintendo Club to get to 800, so I can get one of the Zelda bags, however, I don't want to pay full price (or close to it) for a game to do it.  Does anyone know a few good sites to search for game deals?  I've been checking slickdeals and some major retailers for two months or so now, and can't find any good savings.  I need to have the points in by the end of March, as they won't allow any more points entered after that.  (The program completely ends in June, so I have to redeem by then.)

Conversely, if someone has a code on one of their Nintendo games (doesn't matter what system) to put me over the hump that they don't use, I'd be grateful for that as well.  Though I'd still like a site with good deals.  I'm looking into about 4 games for now, but more in the future:

Hyrule Warriors
Bayonetta 2 (comes with the first one now, too)
Zelda:  Wind Waker HD
Mario Kart 8

Yes, sir! I think it's 10 characters long or so.

I heartily thank Malenko for helping me out!  Was able to get the bag, and one of the codes was for 3DS Smash, which'll allow me to get the Mewtwo DLC for free.  The SF64 code wouldn't work, but 200 other points is more than I could've ever hoped for!

I'll still take whatever anyone's got that they don't want to use.  Might as well get as much mileage out of this thing as possible for the last 10 days!  I'm thinking if I can get enough for something good, maybe even give it away to somebody here.

Yeah I'm 20 points away from getting Mario Kart 64.
Currently at 230 after buying Star Fox 64.
Shame cause all the new games (mario party 10) no longer comes with those codes.

Hypernova if you have extras, I'd be glad to take them.

I had already redeemed them all!  If I could, I'd donate what I had left.  I'm in a conundrum on what to spend those 200 points on, since I have a PC that I use to emulate on my TV anyway.

I capped out at 410. I calculated at least 710-750, but the two Wii's are too old to qualify ( I have first gens) and my DSi XL didn't qualify for some reason even though it's listed as one that would.  My step daughter has a DSi XL her dad bought her but she likely threw out the PIN so... :dunno The surprise came from Link's Crossbow Training, I didn't expect it to have a PIN in the cheap cardboard case.

With two days left, I'm pretty much tapped out. :-\

I'm not really interested in the downloadable games since I can emulate pretty much any of it anyways. Maybe I'll get an N64 game for the Wii to reduce pressure on the poor controller. :dunno

There's supposed to more games released after the 31st but I think they're WiiU and 3DS exclusives

Thanks to Malenko, I received the Mewtwo codes a few days ago.  However, I only use the WiiU myself, and will have no use for the 3DS version.  Does anyone want M2 for their 3DS Smash?  It'll kinda suck as you won't be able to play with him on the WiiU, so this is probably best for someone with only the 3DS version.
