Hello All.
On my Rowe R-83 the tone arm just misses the start groove on most selections.
I had to change the Shure M-44 to an Audiotechnia cartridge but the weigh exactly the same on a digital grams scale but still have the problem after cartridge change that was not there before.
Any advice is appreciated and by the way Thanks in advance!!

Hi Rich,
Why change from the Shure M44?
you will have to set up all the adjustments for the tone arm if you use a different cartridge.

Alan Again My Thanks!
I posted this reply on another site to Alan but wanted to do so here as there may be some useful info for those only on here.
Hello and Thanks to All!
Should have just look in the service Man as Ron was 100% and it was a simple adjustment. Just slightly moved it a hair as not to throw off the end of record setting and all is working great now.
Alan, last Summer she took a lightning hit and drove me crazy on and off for months. First lost the 7volt supply, rebuilt the necessary diodes and led along with a new voltage regulator just because I was near it.
Both filament leads on the light blubs in the pre amp were so fragile I replaced them for good measure. Got all my power-supply lights up again and still had almost no volume. checked everything I know traced schematics and finally I pulled out the old BK scope and started at square one and apparently the lightning blew out the cartridge, no waveform at all coming out. I subbed it with an old Audiotechnia with a rigged mount and back came my volume!
Sad as it was a vintage M-44-IMS a real workhorse and that is the story.
Take care guys if I can help on old Radio & Television Schematics or odd tubes just give a shout.
Again my T^hanks!
Rich
