Title: My First CP Layout / Artwork Attempt
Post by: SoooPig on December 18, 2003, 04:24:25 pm
This is my first attempt at my control panel.  The original is a high resolution multi-layer Paint Shop Pro image.  I compressed it down to a JPEG for posting, so ignore the resolution.  The panel is approx 20"x40" to give you an idea of scale.

Also, the player start buttons are graphical respresentations (i.e. the I, II, III, IIII are really the little men type buttons).

Feel free to offer suggestions on the artwork, or the controller layouts...

Thanks!

Hey SoooPig...
Scale that image down to about 600 pix wide or smaller...
PLEASE!
No one can see the whole image & it's just waisting space as it is.

Thanks!

I sometimes forget that everyone doesn't have a 21" monitor running at a high res like me.... ;)

The original pic was under the 250k limit for pics, and I felt the resolution was needed for the detail.  All you had to do was click on the image link to resize it so that you can see it.

I'll scale it down a bit at your request.

I honestly don't care for it that much.  I don't really like that shade of blue.  Also, I don't like  all of the streaks of light and circles.  Honesty, I think that image is more suitable for a desktop background than a control panel.  I am not trying to be mean.  Just giving you my opinion  ;)

Hey, I asked for it, right?   ::)

My cabinet it a Motal Kombat II cabinet.... I was looking for a background with some sort of lighning theme to match the existing artwork, but couldn't find one at a good enough resolution to blow up to 20"x41".  I'm definately not artistic enough (or have the software), to do one on my own.  If you know of a place I could find this type of background, I'd probably consider changing backgrounds....  ;D
