Title: SNES complete game list anywhere?
Post by: Brad Lee on December 18, 2003, 12:49:27 pm
Im in the process of weeding down a full set of SNES roms, so that Im left with working dumps only, and one "version" of each game, preferrably the english.

I did this recently with the Genesis set, and found a great document on Zophars page(Genesis Game Guide or G3) that listed each game, if it was known to be a clone or alternate market title, just enough info to make it heck of a lot easier.

Is there a list like this for the SNES though? The games that have thesame title for English, US, Jap, or world versions are no problem to do manually, but Im sure there are quite a few that are goingto be the same game different name. All the lists Ive found have either been woefully incomplete or simply a list of the titles without the info on clones

Thanks in advance

Disregard

I found exactly what I was lookingfor on Zophar's, its called the S3 guide. For some reason I have a tough time finding anything by just browsing, but if I google search on "zophar _________" it finds it no problem.

While it may not be a perfectly complete guide it has most of the games and ratings for alot of them:

http://www.allgame.com/ (http://www.allgame.com/)

It has lists for many of the older consoles.

Well, if you're looking for something "official", I feel it's my duty to plug Digital Press (http://www.digitpress.com/lists.htm).  It is complete... Even more complete than complete, featuring prototypes and the like.

I did find these

http://www.nintendo.com/doc/snes_games.pdf
and
http://www.nintendo.com/doc/nes_games.pdf

It just covers the US releases, but its a good solid list to avoid many dupes
