I do. Wife and I throw a giant blowout every year. This year I'm going as Sterling Archer in his tacticalneck getup replete with ISIS NVDs. Some cheapo goggles and IL Wire and I've got a fun costume. What're you going as this year?
-
A few years ago, my wife and I along with her family dressed up as m&m's. I was the brown m&m. We wore hanes sweat shirts with an m on the front.
Otherwise I have a go-to pirate costume. I bought it to drink rum in.
-
Last year I was Shrunken Head Beetlejuice (wedding tux of course). Year before that was the big bad wolf with a modded jaw action mask and digitigrade food mods. Both those were pretty good. Eventually I'll build my grail costume. The Dark Helmet getup from Space Balls.

Love, love, love Archer. Krieger is my favorite character though. I'm doing a cosplay of Krieger for Comicon next year. My kid is gonna do Archer. The main question is, where am I gonna find a glow in the dark piglet to carry in my pocket?
Halloween though, we don't do much. Being in the SCA I dress in unusual clothes on a pretty regular basis so Halloween loses a bit of its charm.
-
@ Ginsu, wat?
@slippy, Krieger is awesome. The piglet is easy, just get a stuffed one and slather it in chemlight juice for a few hours of glow.

Sounds like you need to check out Trailer Park Boys. It's on Netflix.

Had to dress up for handling some nasty ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- at work the other day. Have these suits, half mask respirators, goggles, and gloves stocked at work, figure I might as well go as W.W. for Halloween this year...
I'm the less fat one...
-
Totally. Here is my wife and I, pre marriage. 4 years ago. Not sure what I will be this year just finished decorating.

I have been using my Ambi.
-
Grim Reaper with a black mask until recently.
Found my self naked in bed one year and I'm not sure where it disappeared off to. I strongly suspect it's now part of a monthly stage act at a nearby, and very popular, bar. I tried to go back and get it but there was this huge mob and barely made it out sober.

I never usually dress-up for Halloween but then I threw a little party last year and someone dared me to dress as Elvira. So I did it. It was a pain in the ass (had to shave my goatee for it) but good for a laugh I suppose.
This year I'm finding something much simpler.
-
I didn't celebrate Halloween til recently. Didn't really see the perks of without children around. I don't dress up though.

Lol, god, maybe. Way before digital tho which means I'd have to go attic spelunking at my parents house so likelihood of seeing those anytime soon is nil ;)

I'm pretty content dressing up my kids for Halloween. I think the costume I am most proud of was when I dressed up my 2 yr old as Darryl from the Walking Dead, complete with a jr. sized crossbow and severed ear necklace.
-
I never did Halloween in college because I was always working. Once I had kids right out of college it was always all about them. My kids are teenagers now and just about done with trick or treating. I'm not sure what I'll do this year. This might be the first year since the late 90s I don't take anyone door to door.
-
I LOVE HALLOWEEN. I proposed to my wife on that day. This year I don't know what I'm going to do for a costume since I am also attending a wedding and have to play guitar as the bride goes down the aisle so I need to have mobility. This is what I was wearing when I proposed to my wifey in 2010.

I made a facehugger out of clay, then poured a bunch of latex on it. Filled the legs with cotton balls. Turned out awesome.
Last year we had no plans until the last second, and so I threw this together in 10 minutes - welding mask, hooray for boobies t-shirt, and some car jumper cables.

I usually dress up for my birthday, and it's nice that all of you celebrate with me. This was last year, I'm not sure what I'll do this year. By the way I work Third Shift 11 pm to 7 am usually, and wore this all night along with all the vampires, Duck Dynasty, Super Heroes and slutty zombies. First shift always looks at us as a bit strange, that day I think we may have frightened them.
-
Mad scientist!!! This was a couple years ago...
-
Opt2not, you sort of resemble the medic from TF2.
-
Now we're seeing some kick ass costumes! Keep it coming!! Tis the season bishes!!!
-
My favorite homemade costume was when I went as Ash from Evil Dead 2. Sorry about the blurry photo. I uploaded better pictures of the chainsaw itself. One of my more favorite things to build.

^ That's an awesome Ash costume
I've dressed up a couple times over the last 4-5 years. This one was from a few years ago; went as a cheesy porn director.

stash... not big enough

eds pictures remind me of how my wife and I start our date nights. :lol

Part of your picture is cut off. I think that might have been on purpose but I'm going to assume it was an accident and you really want to share the other *ahem* costumes that are partially shown.

Yeah. Why you no show cast of movie Mr. Director? ;D

Sorry guys, in the interest of protecting the guilty those pics will have to remain secret. Feel free to use your imaginations, though. ;D

Great movie. Loved him as Pennywise also.

This year I'm finding something much simpler.
Haven't dressed up in years, but one of my favorite past costumes...and it doesn't get simpler than this...found some doll-like toy or something at the store, cut off all of the hair, and glued it to my palms.
-
I'm the guy who turns off all the lights on Halloween
Awhile back me and the ex went as Drew Carey and Mimi to a party..took second place and won a Scream 2 VHS movie. I had to die my hair blond, buy some thick rimmed glasses, and wore a suit. Ex wife stuffed a pillow underneath a moomoo and put on tons of makeup.

Meh, infinitely superior to the people that leave a porch light on and a small sign that says "No Trick or Treaters Please. God Bless!" that can't be seen until you're about to knock and then have the audacity to yell at you when you tear their sign down.
Oh, did I interrupt your holier than thou "watch those poor kids trundle up to my door and then leave confused while you mull their future in hell" masturbation session?
Oh, so very, very sorry to have ruined that for you.
For the second year in a row. ;D

LOL. In my defense, we lived on a somewhat busy county road, so all we ever got for trick or treaters were high school kids.
-
If I were a to really be a ---tallywhacker---, I would drop king size candy bars in kids bags, but underneath, slide in pamphlets that I raided from the hospital on contagious diseases like Hepatitis. For added effect, slightly dampen the pamphlet and write nothing but the word "sorry" on them.
-
LOL. In my defense, we lived on a somewhat busy county road, so all we ever got for trick or treaters were high school kids.
"I got a rock."

brihyn for the win!

If you wanna be a curmudgeon about it but wanna deflect some of the curmudgeon-ness away from you. Turn out all your lights. But, leave the porch light on with a nice big bowl and a sign that says: "Please Take One."
That way it looks like you put out candy, but some jack-ass swiped it all, win-win. BOOM!
-

yeah..then said rocks comes through my window ;)

One year I got put in charge of stuffing the goodie bags. Roughly 1 in 10 just had a handful of gravel in it. Most importantly, they were distributed at a party in another neighborhood.
Charles Schultz probably inspired more evil deeds than he ever knew.
-
No costume this year, but I spent $50 on candy and glowsticks so the little ---daisies--- better be satisfied.
Got the pumpkin carved last night. It's only going to survive another 12 hours, but that's all it needs:

It takes a special talent to make TP rolls look scary.
-
Yeah, well, as far as those rolls are concerned you already missed the truly scary part.
Not sure if I'm going to bother painting them all or not. The paint does dry almost instantly, and it'll look better. We'll see. :P
-
I had grand plans to be pyramid head from Silent hill, complete with stilts. I'm only 5'7 so the idea of being tall for once is very appealing. But the rain.... it's been going on for too long and will continue on tonight, so I've put together a quick and dirty optimus prime costume. Pictures to follow. We're having a few gaming competitions, one is Fibbage for Xbox One, and then Shuffleshot Bullseye and World Class Bowling.
-
Ended up having a small party. One (and only one) friend showed up in costume, another one showed up and got totally smashed. His girlfriend gave him a good thrashing and then I got to hear about it from my wife after he left. So, success, their first fight is my fault.
About 70 trick or treaters. :o Given how much some of them were freaking out over a glowstick AND candy I imagine a few were repeats.
The hedge decorations were disappointingly dim but oh well.
-
I was Tony Stark last year (as himself). My GF had the bright idea to wear a suit over the glowing shirt which made it unique...
The year prior to that I went as Captain Kirk and she was Uhura. This year we went as Fitz and Olivia Pope from Scandal. LOL.

Youre married pbj. You should know by now everything is your fault. Even when it isnt.

I dressed up for the first time in about 25 years, and went out.. tore it up on the dance floor for a few hours, then my son showed up after he got off work dressed up as Danny Zuko and we barhopped until we hit a local hotspot for Karaoke where he grabbed some girl and went up and sang Summer Nights.. was a total blast.. My girlfriend went as Red Riding Hood and I went as the big bad wolf dressed in grandmas nightgown.. Dancing in a club "rave style" for 3 hours in a full costume like that, over my regular clothes, was a bit warm, but there was enough beer to keep me comfortable. I suppose I could post a picture later....

And a shot of the back of his jacket later that night. He has a friend who did the set and costume designs for a Grease production, so he got the jacket, shoes, belt (buckle off to the side) and was taught how to do his hair, it was pretty cool.

That's pretty funny. The rips on her clothes look like she got mauled by the big bad wolf.
-
No, not me and even if I tried, I'd be as creative as a blind bat; would probably dress myself up in an old pillow cover with holes for eye holes and walk around! :dunno My son and his gang of pals love to dress up though and my husband enjoys it as much (if not more); he's the one doing up all the costumes and all for the kids. This year, the son was so besotted with the Penguins of Madagascar (http://www.jumpstart.com/penguins-of-madagascar/) movie that he went trick-or-treating in a Penguin costume ('Kowalski' to be more precise, ahem...!), replete with an orange beak and all!
-
Not much of a penguin without the beak ya know. Details make the costume. That's why when I was Archer I was not sober. Details.
-
Here it is. Next year I plan on having Kuato from Total Recall coming out of my stomach!
