Title: Mounting a 29" Makvision monitor
Post by: Pixeljunkie on August 31, 2014, 07:34:33 pm
Hi everyone

I recently bought a 29" Makvision arcade monitor to replace the 25" WG that was in my MK4 cabinet. I driled new holes in the existing brackets, and used spacers to bring the monitor closer so the gap between the bezel was gone (flat crt versus curved one).

Since then, I noticed that the top brackets were starting to bend down under the weight of the monitor. You should be able to tell from the picture.
The Makvision is considerably bigger and heavier, so I kinda feared this would happen :(

Does anyone have a better idea on how to mount this monitor ? And if you already did this in the past, could you post some pictures please ? I was thinking about mounting thick, angled iron on the top and bottom, and secure them to the paneld somehow.

Any help would be appreciated !
