its worth formatting ME to put 98 back on.  ME could be Microsofts worst OS yet!  Pack full of bugs it is...  Sucks for any dos emulator also.

Stick where you are... no need to upgrade... only reasons not to

I absoutly agree, stay away from ME. If you are thinking about upgrading, you could always upgrade to Win 98 2nd edition.

I'm a soon to be certified professional, and I wouldn't put Me!off on my worst enemy.  It's the worst os m$ or otherwise, ever created.  Never put it on anything!!  But honestly here's the deal.... One in every 150 pc's will accept Me! and run beautifully.  The other 149 will choke, shrivel up and die....

98se is the best os for a cab right now....

2000 and xp are way more stable, but if you like dos games and multi-mice support then your out of luck.  I run xp right now, but that's for it's programming and dvd benefits.  (much smoother, more stable os for both applications)

In addition to just disliking ME, I was having problems with programing my KE72 on the ME machine.  Works great in 98.
