Hi everybody,
I have been lurking on these forums for some time, admiring all the good builds and I have decided that it is time to build my first cabinet.
I am not a very good woodworker but I tried my best.
These are the parts that is going to run my cabinet:
- Intel Core i7 4790K (Devils Canyon), Delidded and overclocked to 4,6 GHz;
- 8 GB Corsair XMS3 1600MHz DDR3 RAM;
- ASUS Maximus VII Gene motherboard;
- AMD R9 290X 4GB GPU;
- Samsung 840 EVO SSD 120GB;
- Samsung 2TB HDD.
I am going to use an Ipac2 and Sanwa JLF joysticks with LED push buttons for my control panel.
Here is my progress so far:

Talk about jumping in! That build is almost structurally complete. Any idea what you are doing as far as artwork? Welcome to the hobby, btw. :cheers:

I am just keeping it black.

A plain black marquee is gonna be awfully boring. >:D

Welcome. Nice start. It looks like a project Mame derived design? I think you should change the angle of the monitor. tilt it to the back (quite) a bit...

Welcome! Looking good :D
Your buttons seem to be quite high up the control panel, did you do this deliberately?

I did it so you can rest your palm on the control panel.
I almost finished my cabinet this week. First I assembled the PC. Here are the pics of that.

Here are the pics of the almost finished cab. I only have to wait for the marquee.

Looks nice so far (I like the acrylic tube runs in your loop), but that's some super high end hardware for just Mame. What kind of stuff do you plan on running on it?

I have Hyperspin with MAME and a lot of emulators on it. I also have steam on it for recent PC games.
