A while back, I had a 4 player control panel made by HaRuMaN, with plans to build a pedestal arcade machine. Due to an incredible stroke of luck, I am now going to build a cabinet. Saturday I had been checking the local Craigslist arcade offerings and I saw an ad for a Gauntlet Legends cabinet. Check the posting time ad is 8 minutes old, called the number listed and went to pick up the cabinet 20 minutes from the house, but wasn't expecting much for the price. I ended up getting a working cabinet my rating would be a 8/10. So very happy. I got it home and the monitor is just showing a white screen. Not a big deal since I am going to gut the machine and make a MAME machine. The parts are being sold to finance my MAME machine. Almost forgot to tell you guys the cost of the machine. Free! The man just wanted it out of his shop. If any one is interested in any of the parts, drop me a pm.

ConnnGrats!! Pics! Please!

Why not try to fix it? Maybe it is only a small thing.
A Gauntlet Legends that works is worth 600 to 1000$

How much for boardset shipped to 77071?

Heres the piictures.

yeah thats way too nice of a cab to MAME; hopefully you guys can work out a deal

Will do! I am in Knoxville too! We will save this machine :D
-
Yeah, I hope you guys can work something out. That machine's in WAAAAYYYY too nice a condition to MAME.

Meh, you can chunk a $500 computer in there and emulate Gauntlet fine. Do you really want some stripped beater, or do you want to a toss a JPAC and a PC in this good looking cabinet and be done with it?

I think I have to agree with pbj. In the link you sent me ViriiGuy http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,122778.msg1306922.html#msg1306922 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,122778.msg1306922.html#msg1306922) you said you were going to keep it as cheap as possible, the joysticks were not working right and the cheap vinyl you used was pealing off. I appreciate your offer but I think I'll stay with what I have.

The joysticks were replaced since then, it was an issue with the switches. And yes, the vinyl is garbage. But you would want to make it yours anyway. But that is cool. I would still rather see you NOT convert a complete and likely fixable machine. But it is yours to do with as you see fit.
