Hello!.
I had some video issues, Pacman for example, had a video vertical rolling issue.
I used this modelines from other post:
In mame.ini, edit the following options:
monitor custom
crt_range0 15625-15750, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.192, 1.024, 0, 0, 192, 256, 448, 512
And Pacman runs perfectly now. Now When I try to run Mortal Kombat 1 or 2 I have the same vertical rolling video issue.
Another issue I noticed is that I have like an inch of screen unused at the left side.
Tried setting the video with the chasis pots but that margin keeps unused (all black).
I don't have this issue in other emulators like Mupen64 or Mednafen.
Is there any setting I can tweak so GroovyMAME uses the whole screen?.
My chasys is an Eago and my screen is a 29 inches RCA crt.
My video card is a Radeon HD 5450.
Thanks in advance for any help ;).

Well, I didn't have a good idea of how to edit my config.
The only games with this vertical sync issue seemed to be Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat 2.
I fixed them by tuning the V-Hold Pot of my monitor.
All games have perfect video now.
Anyways, it would be great to know if this can be done with a custom modeline or crt range. The reason for this is that now all the screens before GroovyArcade boots (for example bios setup or boot menu if I want to access them) have a vertical sync issue. I can touch the v-hold again if I need to use them, but if I can have all runing well without the need of touching the pots it would be great.
Regards.

Hi Whipon,
Sorry I missed your thread.
If you want to reduce the left border you need to reduce the value here:
crt_range0 15625-15750, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.192, 1.024, 0, 0, 192, 256, 448, 512
Start with a value around 6.000 and increase or decrease it as required.
After that you may need to compensate the right border too, this one is controlled by this value:
crt_range0 15625-15750, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.064, 0.192, 1.024, 0, 0, 192, 256, 448, 512
By adjusting your potentiometers to cover the 54 - 61 Hz range (so MK is in sync), you're already in the sweat spot. The problem with bios screens is they use 70 Hz so it's hard or impossible to get those in sync and still don't affect the games. A crt_range won't help here.

Thanks a lot for your reply, Calamity ;).
I had to adjust the potentiometers just for the Mortal Kombat games. The other games worked fine.
Previously all my BIOS screens where divided in two, with no vertical sync issues.
But now that I tuned the pots, these screens have a vertical sync issue.
That's why I asked if I can do the same I did with the pots with Mortal Kombat with a modeline ;).
Thanks again, I will play a bit with the modeline you gave me.
Regards.
