I hope this is the right place to post this. A friend got my hooked on a game called 10 Yard Fight. Well there are 2 roms for it in MAME. The first one if you play 2 player you just seem to alternate on the Player1 controls. The second one is like vs. 10 Yard Fight and then 2 players can play 2 players just like the real arcade game. The problem is that when you are playing defense the joystick controls are backwards! Left is right and right is left, forward goes backwards, etc. This makes it very confusing to play when you're on defense. When on offense the controls are normal, left is left, right is right, etc. The only thing I can think is this was maybe designed for a cocktail cabinet or something? Is there any way to fix this?? On the real arcade which my friend has when you play defense the controls are still normal not backwards.

IIf you hit the tab key while the game is running, you can change the input settings for the game. There you should be able to switch the left and right to work better for you.

I don't think this will help, because if he maps the controls to suit defense, they will then be wrong for offence.
You could try going into the dipswitch settings from the Tab menu, and see if there is a setting for cocktail mode - I agree that it sounds like it may be in cocktail mode atm...

That is correct...I realize you can change the controls but mapping the controls for defense would then make the controls backwards for offense. I will check dipswitch settings. Thanks!
