Title: Sony KV-24FS120 power resume option?
Post by: ita47 on January 15, 2014, 03:19:34 pm
I have a Sony KV-24FS120 tv I installed in my arcade cabinet. Does this tv have a power resume option? I would like the tv to turn on when power is applied that way I can switch the power to the whole cabinet and everything will turn on. I know there is a service menu on this tv and I am sure there is a setting for that I just haven't found it. Can anyone help me out? Thank You!

I have a KV-27FS17, which is a cousin of yours, and it powers up when I flip on the power strip.  I have had instances where it does not, however, and I never found an explicit option anywhere in the service menu.  I've considered soldering leads from the TV's power button to a momentary pushbutton and mounting it to the back of the cab, then setting the TV as Master on a SmartStrip.  Would accomplish nearly the same thing - you'd just have to press a Power button every time you turn it on or off.  Could wreak havoc on your MAME setup, though, if you weren't shutting down properly.  I've set up EWF on my cabinet, though, so I can cut power when it's running without worrying about file corruption.

Might be the best option if no one here has any ideas on other hacks for your model.
