Hello!
So a few questions.
1) What do I need pictures of for you guys to identify the monitor inside my cabinet. I know its a dynamo cabinet with a 19 inch monitor
2) I plan on converting it to a MAME cabinet. I am taking away the jamma harness and board. What do I need still there in order to connect the arcadevga breakout cable that connects to the monitor? (I dont know what the monitor cable looks like, maybe I can take pics for you? The wiring is a MESS)
3) If I take out the board, will the monitor still get power when turning on the cabinet?
Thats all I have for now...I think!

1) get pics of the big board behind the tube. this is known as the chassis board. There is also a smaller board on the neck of the tube, This is the neck board.

2) The monitor wiring will be part of the jamma harness but will go to the monitor. usually its a bout 6 wires (R, G, B, Video ground, Sync & possibly another ground), sometimes this varies.
usually for an arcade VGA, you would get rid of this wiring and use a VGA breakout cable (available at ultimarc). I'd also recommend that you look up the jamma harness pin-out so you know what wires are what.
the other two wires to the monitor are power.
3) Very important when talking about power to an arcade monitor. many older monitors require an isolation transformer. removing the jamma harness will have nothing to do with the power to your monitor but you should see a transformer in the bottom of your cabinet. There will be 2 wires going from this transformer to the power input of your monitor. If you plan on reusing this monitor, you will need to keep this transformer wired in between the power and the monitor or else the monitor will smoke.

Well, it turns out this monitor only works 1/2 the time, 1/2 the time the picture wont come on. Since I am not an electrician, I will just remove it and put in a LCD
Do you happen to know where the power is on the monitor so I can remove it before removing the monitor? Here are some pics

on the left hand side u will see a heavy black and white set of wires
running down the bottom side of the flyback..the big black thing with the red wire
comming out of it >flyback<,
they should go to an isoaltion transformer
that would be your power feed,with luck it will have a moluex plug
if not just black tape..just rember remove all power to the cab..
ie un-plug the game from the wall
man that chassic was put in ass backwards
i can clearly see where the yoke was at 1 time..

Well long story short, the monitor was only working 1/2 the time, so fellow KLOVer came over, discharged it and took it with him
No idea how to fix it, but thats ok, he is a smart guy and will fix and and use it for his stuff
