I'm hoping to download a table that shows all the keycodes and hard drive codes.
So if I have key SA-XXX it goes with hard drive XX-XXX and has XX version on it, and is compaitble with XX software.
For example:
Key: SA-1035
Hard Drive: DA-0100
Ruby
Ruby, Ruby2

What do you mean by table? You can use any hard drive with (that i know of) 2005 +
As far as what key goes with what software....here is a link to the maxx manual: http://www.megatouch.com/support/faqs/tech_classic.pdf (http://www.megatouch.com/support/faqs/tech_classic.pdf)
And here is the Force and Ion manual: http://www.megatouch.com/support/faqs/tech_2013.pdf (http://www.megatouch.com/support/faqs/tech_2013.pdf)
Those manuals list the key part numbers that pair with the matching software versions.

right
the key matchs the s/w u are to use
to match a certian >key< to a harddrive, makes me think u have machines without hard drives ?
if so just go to the links posted
1 will give u ions
the other 90% of the rest
examples here
sa3083-01 is for canadian 2005
sa3059-33 is for canadian 2003
now if i did not what s/w went to the sa # i would look it up in 1 of the 2 manuals
in the links
wa-la ok 83 is for 05
wa-la ok 33 is for 03

I've got some that run from CD and some that run from HD.
Being the machines are used, we've got a bunch of hard drives that were already pulled. It would be really nice to know what software is installed on each hard drive without having to reboot and continually swap keys until it works.
Also, I'm told the Ruby keys will work Ruby2 software, Jade2 will work with software, etc...
-
just grab a doonor machine
and start swapping in the hard drives
with any key in
it WILL ERROR out on the key chk...but at the same time tell u what key # it is looking for, error will be wrong key inserted
and then it should say the key # it expects..cross ref the # to your key page info
some times it is just not worth it
u simply take the o/s it will tell u the key # to use with it then match a key to it
reload,carry on

I guess that's what I'll end up doing. I'll just my own chart as I go.
Is there a list of the games that were available on each version of the software?
For example, which versions had adult games, which versions had solitaire, which versions had gem drop, etc...
-
yes..
if u d/l from the links provided
u will have all of the info u need
now here is what i do
once i have re-loaded a machine and it is working
i shut it down
and mark the key with the s/w and the hard drive the same way
so the key would read its # but then i will mark on it lets say 03
then on the hard drive i will mark >03<..no fuss no muss
u will find 90 % of the games come with some sort of porn
it can be turned off in the :main-machine-setup: once the machine is working..
this means the game has to up and running, simple reason is u have no comtrol over the options of games until it is done loading, and running

Right, I follow you.
So you are basically coming up with your own numbering system. Key # 499987 goes with drive # 499987, etc...
I actually already have the cabinets serialized.
-
Lets say I end up with a Ruby key, but a drive containing Jade software. Is there a way to make them match? Whether it be by reprogramming the key, or reinstalling the software on the drive to match the key?
-
unless u have 7k laying around and sign a nda with max/dallas maxuim owns dallas.
so u can get the :key-ic2-programer and rights to the server:,your best bet
is to follow what we have been telling u..
ref your keys to the manaul's
then round up the proper s/w disks
re-load from the start..with new key in
rember to chk the mobo's..ie mfg like telco,or the other 1's olny work with xx kinda of harddrives, like lets say u have a segate 40meg laying around..chk the manual for the key # and then ref to the software and hardrives supported..
about that easy

So these are still being licensed then...crap.
I was just hoping to be able to upgrade some of the older ones to Ruby or higher. I've got some XLs and other older ones that look indentical on the outside.
-
that full series looked the same
and 90% of the time were
right up to the ions or just before that at the radion
maxx.troubo-maxx,ruby
just follow the advice posted

I'm going to follow your advice. I'm not at the machines right now. I'm just trying to see what all of my options are from here.
