Title: Hooking up arcade monitor to PC
Post by: DAmnb on November 22, 2003, 03:57:41 am
So I want to use an arcade monitor with an old comp (pre AGP so no ArcadeVGA for me).
The thing is diffrent people say diffrent things, under the monitor section here at BYAOC most just say R,G,B Ground HSync Vsync, but on the PC to Jamma page you need all the RGB grounds, Sync ground and they use composite sync.

Anyone care to elaborate abit on this?

My sharp image monitor takes R,G,B to r,g,b with composite sync from the jamma connector connected to the Hsync+ and V sync- with jamma ground being connected to pin 4 (ground) on the chassis.  Check your monitor info--it should tell you how its to be connected.  Or alternatively bob roberts has some connection tips.

Possible to take a picture of the image?  might be easier to address problems--also, what is your current hookup?
