Title: Megatouch neckboard-tube mismatch question
Post by: Jimbo6 on July 31, 2013, 10:57:58 pm
Hi everyone!  I dont have alot of experience with arcade monitors and even my mame machine outputs via a video card with a video RCA port.

So someone gave me a working megatouch maxx machine and the screen was darker then it should be.  I opened it up and saw the back of the neckboard says Type 41 Wells VGA Monitor.  I checked and the contrast and brightness are turned all the way up.  Then I glance in at the tube and I see the sticker that says Type 66 Tatung VGA Monitor.

Is this why the monitor is so dim?

Do I need to find a Wells Gardner monitor to fix my megatouch?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Merit is known to have mis-marked some monitors with the wrong label. Perhaps a picture of the monitor in question would be of help.
