Title: Monitor issue video attached {HELP!}
Post by: epicfatigue on April 16, 2013, 01:12:07 am
Hello everyone,

A friend of mine has an MK cab that has some unusual behavior.

has anyone seen this happen?
the buzzing noise sounds to me like a flyback, apparently when he turned down the brightness the noise has stopped but the picture still moves in an out.

I asked to look for flashes of light and if there were any cracks and i am told there is not.

Here is a video
Mk cabinet (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hzODuP-o-E#)

difficult to see from that video what is happening
check obvious things first like bad solder joints

if its making a zap noise then also check the area of the anode for any signs of arcing and clean if necessary

looks like your caps are failing on the monitor chassis.

take some pics to find out what model chassis you have.

Peace
