Hey Guys. I have been doing some checking around and I find that even though there are software/utilities out there for move lists(command.dat) I still want a hard copy of the move lists for my fighting games. In this thread I will add the JPEGs and Excel Spreadsheets I have created to get them from the PC to paper. If anyone wants the PSDs to tweak or adjust for your cabinet you can. just PM me and I will send them your way.
I will show standard button commands but set to my layout. I have PACLED64 so my buttons light up when they are active so I will not go into a ton of detail on basic moves or button layouts. Also I only plan on doing the games I have on my Cabinet at this time. Which I think is about 50. If at the end the a game on the list is not here you can PM me for a request. But please do not do that until I say I am finished.
WARNING! These might not be consistent with layout at the beginning as I do my thing. Example I started with Excel spreadsheet of MK 1 - 3 series...but found it was going to be tough to get data like that for all games. Now I am using CPWizard's move list and command.dat. Please DO NOT COMPLAIN to me if moves are not correct. I am just going from the info I have.
NOTE: Looks like I will have to attach the files as a .rar file because the images I am making are too big for this forum. I do not want to shrink it down on here as it will hurt the quality of the image.
UPDATE Man this is going to be a lot of work! :) Some games have a TON of players :) Yeah there will not really be any consistency to these layouts. :) also I noticed that if I shrink the size down 50% I can upload it here and the quality is still good. so hopefully no more zip/rar files going forward!
I hope some will find this useful.

Mortal Kombat 1-3 - Excel Spreadsheet
I listed out by each character and game they are in. As you get into MK3 I had about 6 characters to each printable page since they are only in the one game.
enjoy!

Patiently waiting for KI to pop up. ;D j/k, I have a whole book on KI somewhere, wherever it is, it's 20 years old.
Those look great.

This is just a crazy thought but....
Have you considered the thought of using something like ImageMagick in combination with a language like Perl, Python or even PHP (NO!!) or whatever you're comfortable with to dynamically manage and generate "Hard Copy Printouts" of moves and the like?

No I am not a programmer :) - just a photoshop guy. Feel free to do whatever with these images if you like though,

Cool idea here, but if you're planning to print hard copies, wouldn't black text on a white background be better than white text on a black background? Less ink and bleed. Just a thought.

Not when the screen shots from CPWizard have Black backgrounds...I agree but the time to get those to turn white takes too much time :)
I started to do that with the first one, but it was just taking too long. Smaller ones like the first it does not look so bad with the black boxes but on the ones that have 10,000,000 playable characters it would not look good unless I used 4 or 5 pages :) - I was trying to allow smaller page counts. I figure if people want to change it to black and have photoshop they can do it on their own. I think it would be even cooler if each person had a 4x6 or photosized cards but again...too much time for what seems to be little interest

The Karate Champ one I am working on will not have Black backgrounds but it is more custom since I did not like the CPwiz layout. But that alone has taken about an hour and I'm not done yet. Should be able to post that tomorrow
