Can any of you with a Dreamcast with original (genuine) AV leads have a look to see if it has some sort of sega logo on it somewhere? And if so, where? Plug, I imagine...
If there aren't any obvious markings, could you post a photo, so I know what to look for? I have had terrible luck with aftermarket cables, so would rather get a genuine one....

I got mine here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Joytech-AV-Cable-Sega-Dreamcast/dp/B000055ZZO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1362830997&sr=8-2) and it works great, but its a bit too long. ;D

I'll bear that one in mind, since I've just realised that my TV has S-video! It looks kinda heavy duty. This is what I suspect the original looks like, nice heavy 'bundled' lead, instead of the skinny 'ribbon' type that I currently have

I love this feedback for that cable.
Upon getting my AV Cable for my oldschool Sega Dreamcast. I noticed a few things.
First, it works perfectly! Both as advertised and as a substitute of my old cable. It can also be used for the following purposes:
* Clothesline
* Jumprope (for short people)
* High tech hairband
* Outer space robot costume (accessory)
* Jar opener
* Whip
* Kitten lasso

Don't forget a noose for strangling those people who come around to your house and beat you on Soul Calibre then laugh at you afterwards.
Real handy cable indeed!

Well, I finally got an original Dreamcast AV lead. And it's only very slightly better than the knock-offs :(
Looks like composite isn't the DC's forte. This surprises me since both my N64 and Gamecube look HEAPS better than the DC, both only using composite...
One day I might get an S-video cable, surely that will look half decent. For now, I'm over throwing good money after bad on cables. I've spent more on cables than the DC cost (minus freight)!
