Title: Monitor Adjustment Help
Post by: jthompson21 on February 03, 2013, 03:37:54 pm
Hey guys, im new to the arcade cabinet world. I have a California Speed cabinet with a Neotec Nt-3301 monitor and chassis. At least thats what the chassis says. The screen is stretched out.  On the adustment board the Horizontal Size does not work. Neither does the D.P.C. adjustment. I cannot make the image size smaller.  Has anyone come across this, know how to fix it or have a work around?

also, occasionally the pedal stops responding, but thats a topic for another time.

any help would be appreciated.

there is a bi-polar cap that's dried out and needs changing. (i think it's C316 i don't have a schematic to double check)

it's like 22uF 25 volts. it's a tuning capacitor for the horizontal scan.

the cap dries out and the picture goes all wide and you can't squish it back down.

if you do replace it, make sure you get a big one meant for TV's and such. i know they make them in tiny little cans, but i never trust them. I always opt for the big one. I don't know if there is a difference or not.
