Title: Billabs 25inch CRT monitor help
Post by: Pakled on January 17, 2013, 08:30:29 pm
I just bought a Billabs BL25C90T 25 inch CRT as a replacement monitor for a MAME arcade cabinet I'm working on. The problem I'm having is getting the display to stay at the 640x480 setting using powerstrip in WinXP. the default setting seems to go no lower than 800x600 in WinXP. I can't get any of the system's drivers to load from the dell website so that may also be part of the problem. I tried creating a custom monitor driver with powerstrip but couldn't get device manager to accept it. If anyoen can help me with a guide to powerstrip or another program like it I really would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
Pakled

When you load up the spot where you choose the resolution in windows click on the advanced tab and should say something like show list all modes. 640x480 will probably be listed in there

Unfortunately I don't see that button on the WinXP box. I see the button you're talking about on my Vista laptop but then again this may be a problem due to there being no dell drivers installed on the machine. At this point I'm considering buying an Arcade VGA if it will make my life easier.
