I have searched high and low for this, but have not found anything solution wise.
I am trying to setup the M2 Emulator (both v0.9 and v1.0) to work with my Thrustmaster Ferrari GT wheel. Here is my problem (BTW, everything works fine on my Vista 32 bit machine):
When I plug the wheel into the USB port, if I try and configure the inputs, the emulator crashes if I try and select any of the input selections. If I unplug the wheel from the USB port, all is well. I am unable to use the wheel with M2, yet it works with M3 emulator and my Mame racing games without any issues.
I have tried different Thrustmaster driver versions, updated Direct X, and anything else I could think of.
Like I said above, I have NO issue with my Vista 32 bit PC, so I am assuming it is a Win 7 issue with the Thrustmaster driver.
Is anyone using the Win 7/M2/Thrustmaster Ferrari GT combination successfully???
I am happy with Daytona USA on the M3, but I would at least like fix the M2 issue if possible.
Thanks!

Your new Windows 7 pc probably doesn't have the old DirectX9 runtimes even though it says it has the latest updates.
You'd think the newest version would include all the previous ones, but it doesn't.

Or if the PC isn't connected to the web:

Not sure if that's the issue, but it's something to try.

Actually, I did add older directx versions without any luck. I still think it has something to do with Directx and Win7 though.

Hi Ace,
I've had this issue in the past and it's been attributed to having too many USB devices plugged when configuring keys. I cabinet has a USB Logitech G27 + USB Gamepad adaptor (used for coin slot inputs) + USB Gamepad (hacked up for various other buttons like VR/Start etc).
If I had them all plugged in at the same time, it would crash. So I plugged one in at a time and configure only those buttons. Then save>exit, unplugged and plugged in next device and configured those buttons. Once I was finished... I could plug them all back in and start a game fine with all keys working as they should. I have no idea why it happens, but thats how I got around it.
Hope it helps..

Never thought about too many USB devices. I currently have an Xin Mo 2 game controller board, Trackball, N64 Gamepad, Wireless Mouse/Keyboard combo, a 4-port hub, and now a spinner all hooked up at the same time. I plug in my Topgun III and steering wheel only when I need them. I will try disconnecting some and try your solution.
My only fear is when I unplug everything, will I lose the settings when I plug them all back in...This happened to me once even though I plugged them all back into the same slots.
Anyway, will give it shot this weekend if I have time.
Thanks!
