Hi Everybody,
I am quite new to Arcade Cabinets. Recently somebody gave me two old arcade cabinets (yes it was a present). And I have started restoration (controls, ArtWork etc). I have some problems with one of the monitors (cant get synch) and I am trying to find the manual for it. The only problem, is that I don't know the brand/model. The chassis says "HANSE" and the tube says "SAMSUNG".
Trying to id the monitors I checked on the jomac.net.au web site and notice that the chassis of my monitors is exactly the same with the Kortek KTM-20 110v CGA (http://www.jomac.net.au/images/Chassis/Kortek_Copy%20of%20Nanao%20MS720L.JPG (http://www.jomac.net.au/images/Chassis/Kortek_Copy%20of%20Nanao%20MS720L.JPG)).
Any idea why mine is says HANSE ? Is mine a clone ? any idea where I can find a manual /wiring diagram/cap kit ?
Any help will be appreciated
thanks

its a copy chassis of kortek type, how do you have it wired at present for sync?
the sync should go to the yellow wire on the video input plug according to the markings
red/green/blue/video ground/sync/not connected
also notice there is a sync polarity switch next to the video input connector

Hi ,
Sorry for the late reply :( Yes I tried this.... The sync goes to the yellow wire, I also tried the polarity but nothing changed? It could be probably a faulty chassis (these are more that 15 years old)
Any idea where in Europe/USA I can buy a replacement chassis motherboard ?

you tried a good known game board in the cab?
have you checked continuity on the sync?
when you say you have no sync do you mean its rolling or the actually sync is missing?
got a photo of a screen shot?

Hi,
Yes I tried , a game that it was support to be working , but no luck ? what do you mean continuity of the sync ? No I mean that the screen is rolling and no matter what I do it keeps rolling :(

i would check the vertical hold circuit including the pot
you could try connecting both sync wires together or put a 5k resistor from v sync to video ground
difficult to say as you do not know if it ever worked correctly
