Hi all-- just playing with my cab today, trying to add a few emus and tweak up some skins in MameWah. Anyway, it occured to me, I could prolly get away with XP in the box I'm running- p4 2ghz 512 meg ram w/ ArcadeVGA- but wondered if there are any distinct advantages? Most stuff seems to run on 98SE fine... just thought I'd ask the pros! Thanks in advance.

I can tell you what minwah would tell you. Technically there isn't any but all of the windows front ends seem to run slightly faster and smoother in xp. It's not crucial but always nice. :)
Also we all tend to code on a xp box these days so you are more likely to run into issues if you aren't running xp. You shouldn't but you know how that goes.
hope that helps.
