Title: My 99.9% complete cab!
Post by: RedSquirrel on October 25, 2003, 08:45:44 pm
I took some pics for a friend, so i thought id post them here too. I have not done the marquee yet, and the door needs a bit of re-adjusting (plus the insides need tidying up).

The pics might look a little crappy (some are okay, some arnt IMO).

Anyway go see for yourself, comments would be nice.

EDIT: fitted a temp marquee - an old Ice age poster  ;)

It looks good.  What are you going to do for a marquee?  I noticed you have "flippers buttons"  What do you play for pinball?  What software?

Also, that is a pretty big monitor.  Waht kind is it?

thanks. Not sure what to do for the marquee yet, i have the plexi cut but no actual marquee (plus i gotta figure a way of attaching it to the cab). Might stick something in temp, and print something decent out at a printing shop to replace it.

regarding pinball, at the moment i have only used pinball games inside of mame. Works all fine and good, but i want to try some other pinball emu's out too.

Its a 25" tv. I really must say it is fantastic, i think its by mitsibushi, it had two scart sockets, and was in fine condition for a used tv (i bought it off some old folks, who couldnt get it working with there vcr haha). It cost me

Good work, are you going to add a coin door to your cab?

Also do you have a top view of your control panel we can see?

I want to add a coin door, its just finding one thats cheap. Since im in the UK, its a bit harder too. Im keeping a look out.

Top view of my CP .. sure. I have one when its detached from the cabinet. Its a pretty standard cp. I wanted it not too big, and mainly for fighters / platform type games plus 2 player games. Im not that bothered about a 4 way or trackball, but maybe make another cp in the future if i decide i need them.

The buttons are not light blue. They are dark blue. The camera flash made them weird.

Your control panel goods good/clean looking.

I know what you mean about getting parts in the UK. I'm from Manchester/UK but I now live in Florida USA which made getting my parts for my arcade cab a lot easier than if I was still in the UK.

I did see on Happs website that they have a office in the UK, maybe you could order from them.

yeah i think i heard that too. Im not in a major rush to get a coin door, im not that bothered at the moment since i kinda have to use my cash on other things now - but ill keep a look out for the next few months for a cheap one, otherwise then i will see about buying one from this happys office in the uk.
