I have come up with a pretty dang cool design for a Cabinet, and am gearing up to build. May take me a couple of months to finish, but I am torn as to whether or not to post the sketches. On one hand I want the input, but I wonder how I might feel if someone took the designs and built it before I was finished. On the other hand, I think I might be more bummed if someone else posts (or already has) the idea first.
I realize that this is all just a hobby, but heck were all competitive animals, I am wondering what anyone here thinks?
Post or don't Post?

Don't post, more impact when you do finish and post.

I say post--the best part of this hobby is to see what other people have come up with. If someone hijacks your idea--remember imitation is the highest form of flattery, and more likely than not they will commend you for your design and give appropriate credit for the design of it. Unlike other boards i've been to this one has a low a$$hole to good user ratio. Also consider this, if you post first, there is irrefutable evidence that it was your idea first (this should satisfy your inner corporate raider ;D)

SHOW US! ;D
Just what I need another insprirational idea to not follow through on... ::)

I also say post. I am in the process of designing my cab. Notice I said MY cab. Sure I've taken design elements from different cabs, but unless you buy a kit I don't think any two custom built cabinets will ever be the same.
Like Menace said "imitation is the highest form of flattery".
My 2 cents.

Posting the three rough sketches now under a new thread called "My Cabinet - New? Rotating Panel Design - Rough Drafts" - Enjoy and give me some feedback
