I posted this in the main forum, I guess I shoulda posted here instead :P:
Hey guys, today my friend called me up and told me that the arcade he worked at was throwing away the monitor that was on the MK4 machine. They were gonna use it with the Tekken 4 board but the monitor was kinda broken. I went and picked it up though.
It seems that the green I think on the monitor is gone, faded or something like that. I mean when they used it with the MK4 board it looked like the color was smearing. Is there a way to fix this or do I have to just live with it? BTW, when they had the monitor with the MK4 board it was a conversion that they did so it is a standard monitor I am pretty sure, how do I tell? Thanx.

The monitor could use a capacitor kit for sure. It's possible for one or two of the color guns inside the picture tube to be bad or weak. For that type of a problem the picture tube needs to be connected to a picture tube restorer/analyzer. Usually 8 out of 10 picture tubes can be saved with this treatment.
