Just got this brand new monitor replacement for my Neo Geo cab. Upon hooking it up to my computer via VGA connection and making sure the video impedance selector was set at 75 ohm: 31k for PC, I heard the relay clicking looking for a signal even before booting up. Then when I booted up the computer it never found it. I made sure my desktop was set at 640 x 480 resolution. It worked fine on my 27" Billlabs BL27CB0P, so it's not the computer. I also tried a laptop with VGA out with no luck set at 640 x 480.
I checked the the fuse on the MakVision Tri-Mode and was good. It makes a clicking sound every two seconds when it has power, VGA signal to it or not. Not sure what else to do. I don't know if degaussing would do anything... I don't know how to do it anyways. Model #M3125DB-82

take it to somebody to fix. any issue with it is beyond the scope of your abilities. :-\
check the connectors...be sure everything is plugged in. :dunno

Mt Prospect is about 90 miles from me. I'll probably have to take the chassis out. Shouldn't be too hard. Any tips?

just don't break it.
the neck board will be stuck on with some kind of glue or silicone. use a knife to CAREFULLY cut the glue to release it...wiggle it back and forth slightly until it's free.
take note of the positions of the connectors and the locations. It's going to be easy to forget. pictures are going to help.
installation:
the neck (narrow part of the tube) has a bunch of pins that are going to need to be precisely lined up to keep from getting bent when you put the neck board back on. put it up there...take a look from a few different angles and make sure the pins are lined up with the holes on the socket.
the socket will have a triangled part that will help line stuff up, but it's still easy to kink a pin and have it fold over or try to insert into another hole. bad things happen.
try and have happ send you a list of repairs done or parts replaced. It's easy for them to say they fixed it... especially when it comes back and it still doesn't work.

Especially on these complicated modern monitors and if you're not overly familiar with servicing monitors in general: make a list of everything you unplug. This will help you make sure that you get everything hooked back up when you put it back together.
Forgetting to hook certain things up can be a...shocking...experience.
